Default 4L80E Cooler fittings

I know the newer 4l80e's need the longer cooler line fitting on the rear. But my question is are the older transmissions the same way. I have a 91 and need to get some fitting just dont know what to order. If you can help me out i would appericate it. Thanks

if both cooler fittings are up front, they are both short

X2, early style doesn't need the special fitting.
