What parts for a performance rebuild?
What parts for a performance rebuild? hey guys. the tranny in my 99 T/A isn't gone yet, but it did slip on me going into second the other night. when it does go, what do i need to build it up right? i work at a dealer, and our tranny guy told me he would do the labor for $50 if i bought all the parts. i was lloking for brands and locations to buy the parts. want this thing to be strong. thanks for the help.

Ive gone through alot of trannies so I have tried alot of different parts. This is just my opinion but my best 2 trannies to date were my stock tranny that took a tons of 11 sec passes before it started to slip and my current tranny that Is very close to stock. The sunshell is a must change item . I also replaced all the clutches with the high energy ones except the 3/4 I put the new Z pack ( 14 single sided clutches ) It just came out not long ago but I have put about 50 passes on it so far and no slippage at all. I also have a kevlar band. Thats it. I didnt do any servos onthis unit or even a shift kit. I do have my full throttle shift firmness raised via edit. This might not be the best route for everyone but this trany was rebuilt for around 200 bux and I have no issues on my 431 hp .
