Should I "break in" the stall?
I'm waiting to receive my SSF 3500 within the next couple of weeks (or days depending on how fast these guys send in the order). Anyways, do I have to break in the stall after installation? Or can I just romp on it as soon as I put it in? Of course I'm not going to, but just for the sake of knowing, I'd like to know if I have to and how long until I can go WOT with the new stall?
let it lockup...tap the brakes to unlock it....lock it...tap to reunlock...do this aout 10 miles just as ur converter is set to lock up.....do a powerflush and hang on for a ride!!!
Yes, the lockup clutch will have to break in. I just took it easy for the first couple hundred miles to make sure it locked/unlocked to brake it in. If you have a manual lockup switch, it can save you some waiting time.

per Precision INdustries on my new multidisc Vigilante converter, the instructions say to either (1) force the converter to lockup 25 times with a manual lock up switch or (2) drive the car until it locks up the converter 50 times naturally. I had to put like 125 miles on my car at part throttle to make the converter lock up on its own...ALso, P.I. said that a tranny flush is not needed/recommended after breaking in the converter.

If my converter will only lock up in OD on my new 200-4R will I also have to break it in the same way? That will be alot of shiftng from 3rd to OD. That's gonna be really hard to keep my foot out of it too
