4L60E removal question
4L60E removal question So i have look around in the search engine , Found some answers tryed them all. My 4L60E wont come out, Its in my 98ss all the bolts are out there is a 1/4 gap right now between the motor and trans , I tried the ratchet strap thing lifted it up down, wiggled it, shook it, cussed at it , ,any other ideas
no there shouldnt be 9 bolts. There is however a top bolt in what would be the 12oclock poisiton. Make sure there isnt one there and if there isnt just take a pry bar and the trans should just put off the block. I have pulled my trans out 3 different times now if you have any more questions just shoot me a pm.

gonack behind the tailshaft anduse a **** load of extensions and a swovel. if you have a jack under the trans i would lower it down where the jack is just supporting it. you should have a clear view of the bolt now.
Yes I do have the cross member of I pretty much have everything off. I had to step away from the car before I blow it up . Thanks for the info I am gonna get on the last bolt tomorrow
Isnt there like a million threads going on for converter installs? lol Theres might be a couple threads around with some good pics if you try a search. I bet you dont even need to use the search option
