I really have no idea if it is slipping so i am going to describe what exactly i am experiencing. just as a side not i have a ported and descreened MAF..i do not want to start the ongoing feud of a ported maf and decreasing line pressure. these are just things to keep in mind that might come into play. k here it goes. say i am driving and the car is warmed up i begin to break as i enter a turn around to head in the other direction. as i role through the turn at around 17mph+ around i hit the gas pretty good but not enough for it to kick the trans down as i am accelerating i slowly begin to take my foot off the gas before it shifts and this is what happens.....the revs bounce around a little bit in 500rpm increments for just a second then shifts...is it sliping or i am foling the comouter to make it think that i was going to keep my foot on the gas?? any recommendations would be great!

Sounds like slippage to me, Check your trans fluid, hot engine running in neutral. Is it full? What color is it, What does it smell like.

yah burnt trans fluid smells like ***.

best time to flush is when you do shiftkit/verters since you've lost 99% of the fluid by then.

but datalog some runs rpm VS MPH vs TCC etc with efilive or atap and show us the slippage.

Would show up quick in a efilive log

 

i have to try and diagnose based on symptoms for right now. the car is in storage about an hour away from me so next time i see it i will check teh trans fluid. i also have no capabilities of getting ATAP or running any software like that. if the trans fluid is red then what do i do?

 

rub two fingers in it? feel gritty? sniff it first?

It's a way keep your mind off the problem.

Anyway. Since you don't have a scanner run it up to shift points in 2nd and then 3rd. If it hits the rev limiter, in either gear, it's slipping

 

If you have acces to a lap top I have autotap/efilive. ID be more then happy to help.

I would be so greatful for the help...the car is in storage for now and and im trying to figure outta a date to bring it out to work on it so im ready for our "date" on april 16th-17th.

Im Gonna Smell My Fluid When I Get Home Too But Mine Will Every Now And Then Do The Same Thing Espacailly If The Car Is A Bit Cold If I Hit It At Part Throddle And Hen Back Off A Bit The Tranny Will Seem Like It Drops Back Intho The Gear I Was In And Bogs For A Seccond Of Two And Then Shifts Never Really Happens At Wot Only When I Am Being Stupid And Let Off A Bit After Putting It Down Enout To Sause A 4-2 Shift Its Been That Way For Like 6k Miles Now (1 Yr) And Hasent Got Worse It Only Happes Once In Blue Moon And It Not Easily Recreatable Except For When Its Cold And I Do It.... Im Beginnignto Thik It The Converter Unlocking And Mabye Its Just Normal... But Ill Smell My Fluid When I Get Home And See

 

it looked nice red and felt slippery as hell (no grit) it smelt but then again i have no idea how it should smell but ti was nice and pink\red not rust or brown so i guess im all good

 

me2. mine didnt have a bad smell, but then i grabbed some un-opened trans fluid, and that **** stunk! My trans fluid didnt feel gritty, and looked red.

 

not burnt then id guess all is good
