I have a 2000 SS and I'm gonna be running MS3 cam set up.
Mostly street use maybe the track a couple times. I don't really know much about stalls,but I'm lookin for drivability but with enough empf to get the job done.

 

Maybe the Yank pt4000. I had a friend with this converter and a cam close to the same specs as the ms3, and it was a beast.

 

See I have been told that 4000 is to high but like I said I don't know much about stalls

While a 4000 might be best for the track, it can be a bit much for a DD with minimal track visits. So it really depends on how aggressive you want to get. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Nope, a lot of people run a 4000 in their DD.

Depends on what you go with. Fill out the "Ask Chris" form from Circle D and they can tell you how much and what stall will be best for you. I just mentioned Yank because the cam you are asking about is close to my friends cam, and he ran a Yank converter. I'm going with a Circle D for my next converter.

 

X2. But I hear most who have the 3600 wish they went bigger. That's why I just bought a Yank ss 4000!

the converter has a lock up clutch,which acts like a 5 gear. .4000 rpm is the flash rpm if you mash the gas.get a good tranny cooler and a deeper pan.how many miles on the trans?

 

Was freshend up at 88k but at 92k now. This won't be a DD just my street toy

 

So what vehicles can I get a deeper pan from

 

If staying all motor, minimum 4000.. if spraying 3600-3800. With that big of a cam it wouldn't make any sense to go smaller than that.

 

Yea. I agree with lemons. If you get that big of a cam you have to get a 4000 stall or your going to loose alot between shifts

It's a gm 10 bolt. It's going to kill itself someday anyways. lol I just hope mine holds together untill I have money for a new one.

probably going to be around $700 depending on what you want

 

If a 4000 is going to kill it so is a 3500.

500$-800$ with a cooler, depending on options and brand.
