Default upgrading vig3600 to ????

im thinking of changing my setup here soon and was going to send my stall in to get restalled. i was thinking either 4000 or 4400. the car is going to be recieving a set of ported 243 heads from advanced induction and a built 4l60E from xtreme transmissions. which would be the better choice for a daily driven occasional strip car?

I have a vig 3200 and plan on stepping up to a 4k stall. I think 4400 might be way too much for a dd. But im sure a few guys dd a 4400 stall..

Nitrous in the future? If so stay where you are. If not I would go 4400.

I don't know if I would go with a 4400. I think 4000 would help with times since you have a decent sized cam in it, but 4400 seems a little hgih. Wait here is a thought. Since a cam pulls through the brakes on a stock stall and a stall without a cam takes more to make the car move... So does that mean putting in a bigger cam actually makes a stalled car more drivable?

No, it does not mean that. The larger the cam the harder it is to tune thus making it less street friendly.

I know it will be harder to tune, but wont it make the stall feel like less of a stall?

Most smaller cams make the torque a lot sooner which would help more, where as a big cam usually feels a bit sluggish down low. If you want to make it feel less like a stall, aka tighter, put a lower gear In It.

I love a loose converter.. unless I end up doing a big shot or a fi car I will never have under a 3800.
