What needs to be donne to a lsx 4l60e to hold 500rwhp inn a 2800lb truck?

 

Probally wont take much since your light weight(Lucky lol) I would suggest red alto clutches , aftermarket band and some decent line pressure via a shift kit and a beast sunshell if yours doesnt have a factory one. and of course tight clutch and band clearances. oh and if it doesnt have atleast a vette servo..just yahoo the part number and verify on yours.
Those are the bare essentials besides a big cooler and a stall

 

Take it to someone who knows how to get the 60 to hold up under decent power.

 

Any ideas on what I would have to spend on trans and converter?
If its more that what a 6sp will cost, then ill just go that route like the original plan.

 

yeah thats the toss up .. just depends how bad you want a six speed lol . To have it built professionally it will be pretty close to the same as a 6speed swap. If your turbocharged a stalled auto will be quicker than a 6 speed. Thats the only reason i have not swapped..

 

Quicker how/where? Keep in mind this truck is purely for the street. The only time it will see the track when its done just see what it will run. And it will be turbo. (5.3, 317s, z06 cam, ls6 intake and TB,and a mp t70 under the bed.)
