Default you poly mount guys..

I installed an ES poly transmission mount last week and i think my pinion angle is off because at 50mph and above i feel a horrible rear end vibration that feels similar to the same one you get with a bad driveshaft..

I need a solution.. do I grind down my poly mount? Some people said it will go away, but i'm not sure.. I really need some input before I flip my wig..

if the angle is off why dont you check it, i dont think the angle finders are much money

Put the stock rubber one back on.....Especially if you still have stock rubber motor mounts. Don't fall for the poly is better crap. It will turn your normal car into a vibrating headache.

I'm going to put some 2.5mm shims in and see what happens..

I would definitely check the pinion angle with an angle finder before I did anything. For the pinion angle to be causing a vibration like you are describing it would have to be off by a large amount. If I had to guess it is more than likely just the super stiff trans mount that is causing the vibrations, but I would find out your current pinion angle before I did anything else.

Measure the difference between the stock mount and the poly mount. The poly mount is taller. Shim the crossmember down the difference.

When you go with a taller trans mount it moves the trans tail up and the rear pinion up, that screws up the angle and thats why they all vibrate.
