Unhappy Another Tranny Question

I have a C-5 with an auto. Driving home the otherday everything was fine till I tried to pass someone. Car didn't seem to want to go anywhere like the tranny was slipping. Then when I stopped to check things out it's the same in all forward gears, need to get the revs up before the car will move but doesn't seem like anything is slipping it almost seems like the brakes are on if that makes sense??? Reverse gear is fine. I had no trouble codes but reset my DIC anyhow, also disconnected battery but nothing worked. Does this sound like converter issues to anyone else or is it just me??

Almost sounds like the reverse inputs aren't releasing fully (kind of like how a transbrake works).

sounds like you only have 3rd gear. 3rd gear is the default gear if you have an electrical problem in the tranny. If this is the case, then 3rd is the only gear you have. So you are starting off in 3rd. Thats why it feels the brakes are on.

But if you don't have any codes set then it probably isn't an electrical problem. It sounds more like you have a mechanical problem in the tranny.
