Default 4L60e issues

Well I just put the new rear end in saturday. Was able to drive home, but that night the first time I really went out to drive it something let go in the tranny. I was slowly taking off from a light(normal driving) and then the rpm just started climbing, I have no forward gear anymore. Pulled over and the car will engage in reverse, goes into Neutral, but OD, D, and 2 nothing happens. You do not feel the car engaging into gear. In 1 you can barely feel it but it doesnt go anywhere.

I was told its definitely something mechanical, either the sprag or output shaft. Is that right? I know you truly wont know until its done, and how much would something like cost to fix?

Chris

Whole trans will have to be gone through. At 410 hp, you need a built unit anyway IMO.

Someone can say it's the forward sprag or the output shaft, or any other part inside the trans. It still needs to come out. Theres no easy answer like tighten the screw on the side half turn. It sounds like you're looking for an easy fix. If it has no movement and the fluid is full, it needs to come out and get disassembled and inspected.

Not just go to the broken part and replace it, the whole thing needs to come apart for inspection.

Jay, I was looking for the easy fix, cause I just dont believe a tranny just stops. I had a feeling that it would have to be pulled and inspected, but for that I would rather grab my friends Rossler Terminator two and throw that in my car. Thanks Jay

The tranny didn't just stop, it broke. Happens all the time, especially when you are overpowering it.
