A few days ago I believe I blew my 4l60. I took it to a shop just to confirm the damage. I got a good lecture from the master tech for a having a high stall, he said that it didnt allow the tranny to cool and was a huge waste? Also he claimed you cannot built this trans to be strong. Im definitely not allowing this to go beyond a general assesment to working on the car. Would anyone have some insight on what he's saying?

He has no idea what hes talking about. Yes a stall will make more heat but thats what a cooler is for. As for built strong we and every vender here have cars and trucks running consistantly in the 9s and 10s with these units so I beg to differ with him there too. Though I will say that it true its unlikly a regualr trans shop would be able to build a unit like you need,
