Default Aftermarket converters eat up hp??

Is this true? How much is it over a stock tc? I have my midwest and dyno'd 290-316 with mods in sig. If i had the stock tc what could the numbers look like?

Might look like 300 to 325, converter does eat some horsepower on the dyno. I beleive it is around 8 to 15 ,depends on the converter.

It eats up the horspower and torque at the TOPEND, the gains you experience at the low end, and through the powerband is TREMENDOUS. These were my dyno numbers after my TC install on my 2001 Z28:

287.5RWHP/348RWTQ

The vehicle runs like a scalded ape.

Do not get caught up in the numbers game, it is how the vehicle drives.

They will eat up power due to their inefficiency. But please do not look at peak numbers. TC's own at the track.

I had 316 rwhp and still managed a 11.6 @ 114. Dyno numbers don't mean squat.

LOL 316 hp running 11.60 thanks awesome, goes to show the dyno should be used only as a tool for tuning.
