Default Need a converter to handle fair amount of boost

Looking for a converter for my 4l80e that I'll be using in my 5.3 swap in a Blazer Xtreme. Will boosting about 10psi but plan for more in the future. Is there any other converters out there that aren't $900+. I want to hear info from those that run budget converters on boost. I know there are cheapers ones but want to hear some testimonials. If not I guess I'll have to buy the more expensive converters. Thanks.

For FI we suggest our billet multi disk. I know that is over you $900 number, but it is a very strong converter. We prefer overkill, you will sleep better at night - lol

Thanks Chris, I might just have to cough up the money if I don't find anything cheaper with a proven track record of being reliable.

True, but in some instances if I'm building more of a street car than a all out track car I would like to purchase a part that will get the job done at a cheaper price if possible. Hence the thread.

I choose a quality converter. This will make or break your car. It makes all that power actual useable power. FTI and Circle D will set you up properly.

Chris' (circle D) triple is bad *** there is no question, but if your never going to lock the converter at WOT, then you have choices. I guess you 'll make between 600/700 hp, the billet single will work too. I PM'd you as well.

Cheap is not the way to go!!! If you are not going to lock under full throttle then you wont need a multi disc. We have both and we also have a bolt together but it is pricey!

Give me a call ofr fill out a spec sheet at www.fticonverters.com and I will spec one for you.
