Default 4l60e leaking from rear??

When I had my car jacked up in the front, I noticed that I had trans fluid slowly dripping from what looked like the center of the rear yoke. It didnt look like it was coming from around the outer seal but actually from the middle part of the yoke. Is there an internal seal, o-ring? that might be bad. I think if i remember right (25 yrs ago) turbo 400 had an internal o ring or the yoke had an internal o ring built in. any idead would be appreciated. I did think for a moment maybe it was starting to puke because it was in a Mustang

Im almost positive theres no o-ring. I have built several of these back to stock when blown up and never noticed one.

yes, verry easy. I would also check the bushing in the tailshaft to make sure its still good n snug around the driveshaft or no seal will fix the problem. If its good then I would also use some emory cloth to lightly sand the outter part of the driveshaft yoke to help it seal better to the new seal your about to install.

cool thanks, going to install aftermarket axles this week so the driveshaft comes out, I'll check the bushing inside the tail shaft then.

just make sure that when you slide the yoke in that it dosent have any wobble to it.
