I'm brand new to LS1TECH, and a brand new Camaro SS owner. My question is: What gear ration is on a 2000 Camaro SS? I have a 4-speed automatic and have found the gear ratios for it, but what is the rearend gear ratio?

3.23 is the stock A4 gear on the SS. Some Z28's / TA's had 2.73's with 3.23's available as an option you could order. But if I remember correctly the SS and WS6 A4's all came standard with the 3.23 gears.
M6's of all types came standard with 3.42's. Those lucky ******** got the gears I wanted Lol.
Enjoy your LS1!

NP at all. I had a typo in my first response. It's 2.73's standard not 2.78. Sometimes my fingers just type faster then my brain
But you should have the "performance" gear package of 3.23's. It's not a bad gear though , I must admit. If you get the right stall torque converter the 3.23's really shine at the track while still allowing decent highway gas mileage.
Good luck with your SS. Those are some seriously sweet looking cars.
