ok the car is a 98 z28 that was programed by the previous owner and unfortunatly i do not have the programer... BUT the problem is that its shifting at 6600 in D at WOT from 1-2 but it will not shift from 2-3 unless you lett off the throttle at 55ish. It does have a shift kit in it but i do not know what brand i have heard B&M will cause problems but...?

Now could this be a reprogramed problem or valvebody?

recently the tranmission has been slipping in OD and if you put the car in first and take off it will take off in second..... now this has just recently started and i have owned the car for about a month but the 2-3 problem has always been there....

i am pulling the trany this sunday to get it built and put the TCI SSF in it.

Sounds like your 3-4 clutchpacks are burnt out. Maybe the 2-4 band is stuffed too.

 

Same symptoms you had and it was the 3-4 clutches

 

So the worn 3-4 clutches can cause it to not **** at WOT from 2-3?

 

Yep, and eventually your trans wont provide any drive in 3 or 4.

 

The clutches have enough material left to hold at part throttle but not at wot. VT2 is right eventually 3 and 4 will completely go away.
