Yep I searched and didn't really find an answer to what will work with a 6L80. I'm getting ready to stuff an L92/6L80 in my jeep TJ, and one of my unanswered questions is what will work? So I figured I'd just ask those who've installed a 6L80 what you used.

Thanks in advance.

Answering my own question. Turns out about anything will work so long as you can index it for the throw of the bellcrank. I ended up using a shifter out of late model Malibu. Cable feeds to the front of the transmission as did the original jeep TJ shift cable.

We are using a shifter out of a 2012 Jeep Wrangler JK, with tap shift working in the shifter.
