i did a rebuild on my engine and had to pull the trans with it. My friend hooked the trans up and everything seems to be connected but when we go to shift the car into any gear it will not move. I only bought 3 quarts of trans fluid not realizing how much i really need. Is it possible the trans will not shift due to not enough trans fluid?

yes,when I swapped trannys and a new(empty) convertor,I had nothing until fluid level was to where it should be.
