Default Trans shifting late and hard

I have had a problem develop tonight. My 01 TA auto is shiffting late and hard after driving for 30 minutes or so. I can shut the car off and get right back in and its fine, for awhile... its holding all the shifts out to 3000-3500 rpms, normally its around 2000 when it shifts. I have done searching and found info about a Sonnax valve body replacement and the TCC solenoid problem. the descriptions i have read sound exactly the same but my car has 110,000 miles on it. should I just have the thing rebuilt or just fix the valve body?

First thing to do is to scan it to see what code you are getting first before trowing parts at it.

not getting any codes from it.
PLUS, noticed high idle speeds 1200 or so rpm in neutral, shut it off and start right back up and idles at 800 rpm.
while driving with scan tool attached, after trans started shifting hard, the scan tool kept losing its link and I would have to re-link to the car, then it would drop again. so I am leaning more toward the ecu being bad, what do you think?

Thats certainly is a possibility. I would look at the data on your scan tool for battery voltage and also look at all power signals for the trans and other sensors on the engine that effect transmission function. I would also make sure that all pins for the data connector are good to the computer and also on your scan tool. Vince

Upon reading other post after my extensive search, i tried replacing the tps sensor after 13 years. This alone fixed the problem. I highly recomend trying this!

That did it!!! A $35 dollar NAPA part was the trick. Put the new one in and no prolems after two days of driving.....
