No, I didn't take any pictures of the transmission. I included a parts list in the main post. Lower the transmission and then you replace the stock fittings in the transmission(where the stock hardlines clip into) with these -> RUS-640520 TRANSMISSION FITTINGS PAIR. Then you can screw the 45degree AN fittings into you're new transmission fittings. Its pretty simple. Figuring out the right parts is the hard part and I have already provided that information in the original post.

Great right up...the parts list takes the guess work and figuring out of it...some may want to use the cheaper rubber hose, but since I ordered a $2000 transmission (stage 4 from FLT) I figured I wouldn't cheap out on the other stuff...you don't wanna use those rubber hoses especially if you go to the drag strip because they aren't too friendly once you drop a bunch of trans fluid on the track, and you might not be allowed back...

Just figured I list my revised parts list using summit brand premium nylon hose with summit fittings....I originally was skeptical of the summit brand AN fittings but to my surprise they worked well on my 81 Camaro fuel system so I'm going to use them again...anyway here is my list including a -6 AN wrench, the total is $256 using the same monster B&M cooler as the OP...

B&M 70274 11"x11"x1/2" aluminum plate type cooler
SUM-220649B (x2) -6 AN/1/2" NPT male/male adapter
SUM-220686B (x2) 45* -6 AN hose/female
SUM-220690B (x2) -6 AN male/female
SUM-240615BP 15ft. Premium braided nylon hose (275* F, 500 PSI)
9106 (optional wrench, makes life easy and protects finish on fittings)

The only part I didn't list was the trans case thread to AN adapter because I bought my transmission with them already installed...

If you have a stall, that **** will heat you're transmission fluid up. Those rubber connections will fly off from the pressure. Mine took a few years but it did blow off(right after I laid 30 feet of rubber at a stoplight). People spend thousands on a trans/stall but then they want to go cheap on the hoses/cooler/connections.

And good point about the track cleanup.

List looks good. Though you're hose selection is not cheaper than mine was

for those of us like me on a budget (self inflicked) how about gorilla tape wrapping the rubber hose rather than braided hose? i had some mudjackers at my house to pour cement into small void under garage & step and there high pressure hose burst, they used gorilla tape to fix. they said it was 10 times stronger than duct tape.

I hope you aren't serious...gorilla tape has no place on a car (legit anyway)...only other low buck option is to wrap the rubber hose in some heat tape, but that stuff is like 30-40 a roll anyway...bottom line is in the car world you get what you pay for, do once and spend the $ or do it cheap and spend $ a few times

my car is NOT a show car and im NOT spending over a hundo on a cooler. what other lower cost options are there instead of just the rubber hose that comes with the kit? the op said he spent $290.

So, when the trans dies, will you spend a hundred to replace it...?

Stupid.

A cheaper alternative to SS braided stuff is pushlok hose. With the right fittings its impossible to take off the barbs.

You will have to learn (hopefully no the hard way) that in the automotive world you GET what you PAY for...but if you insist on rubber hose at least make sure you use TOC hose which is trans oil cooler specific construction...I know they sell it at autozone

This is pretty much what I did. When I got the FLT Level 6 Trans, it had the NPT fittings. So I bought a B&M 70266 (a little smaller than the 274) with -6AN fittings and braided lines. Bought 10' of braided line and that was more than enough.

Just a heads up,
we sell a cooler, line, and fitting kit that uses the Tru-Cool cooler (same as B&M), black fittings. Transmission specific fittings, 2 90* hose ends, 2 straight hose ends, fittings for the cooler, the cooler itself, metal strap cooler fitting kit, and 10' of hose. When we do installs at the shop, 10' is enough hose, even with the later 4L80E's and the longer line for the rear cooler fitting.
The whole kit is $250.
