Transmission.....
I've looked for a bit and I really didn't see anything on transmissions I'm sure I missed something I'm still new to this. But my car won't reverse, it had been doing it just fine. Also if I have it in drive it won't get past first gear, but if I put it in park Itll drive just fine. Suggestions, ideas? Help!

Are you saying that with the shifter in the "park" position that the car will move/drive forward, as if it's in gear?
If this is the case, it sounds like you have a shifter linkage problem of some sort, and that the indicated gear on the selector is not accurate.
Or perhaps I have misunderstood your problem.

Sometimes if that plastic on the indicator gets sticky that little orange indicator can say its in the wrong gear. Just remember park is all the way up. Then reverse. Then neutral. Then drive. Can byou feel the linkage hitting every gear as youb slide the gear shift down?

i tried it in every gear and all it did was go forward except for on park of course. ever since i got the car i have had to use the e-brake to keep it from rolling forward or backward, would these two issues be related?

sounds like you need to take it to a trans shop. this is what I'D do. don't know if it's correct, but it seems to make sense. jack it up, unhook the linkage from the lever on the trans and push the lever on the trans all the way forward(toward the front of the car). with the linkage still unhooked, put your shifter in park position. the linkage and lever on the trans should line up with each other because they should both be in the park position. if they're in two separate positions and don't line up, it's a linkage issue.
