Just another thought......Is this kit worth $831 shipped I am trying to figure out the best route to go. I found this kit for $831 shipped. It would be easier and less time just to get my 4l60e rebuilt and keep going.

Phil, I'm guessing from the price these are not delco parts, and something you do not want to buy are the poor quality off shore planetary or electronics. For those items you will want delco only.
The chrome pan will be junk/not something you will want to use. The alto friction & band would be ok, basic overhaul parts like both sprags, but the kit is lacking bearings, additional bushings (bushing kit), the beast is ok, but Personally I think the sonnax smart shell is a step above the beast for about the same money.
While the list may look impressive, its not.
