Default 3800 stall converter installed. Now I have problems

I have a LS2 GTO. I recently had a Yank 3800 Stall Converter installed. I know I need to have the car tuned for it , which Im trying to find someone to do that , but when I got it back the car seemed to lose power. I am unable to smoke the tires. As my foot is on the break and my other is on the gas it will only go to 2k rpm's and will not break the tires loose. And as I said before it just seems to have lost power. When my friend installed his on his LS1 Camaro , we noticed at difference right away even before the tuning. And of course after the tune it was crazy. But could the reason mine is acting up be just because of it not being tuned yet or could there be something else wrong such as it was installed wrong or what? Any help is appreciated.

Sounds odd, it should boil the tires. I would call up Dave at Yank and pick his brain some. He will get everything right.

Well from your info you didnt exactly say you stepped on it yet. Did you? Because if your foot is on the brake and you only give it 2k rpms I dont think its enough to spin the tires. Did you make sure the fluid is correct? Funny things happen when your low on fluid ask me how I know

@senicalj4579 - my fault , yes i was giving it full throttle. It just seems very sluggish . But I dont have any check engine light on. Im at a loss. If anyone knows of someone here in vegas I can go and get it dynoed and tuned let me know also

get it tuned, thats alot of stall speed to run without a tune. also, what gears are you running? have u ever had a stall before? it will feel a little different at part throttle and take some getting used to.

I would check whether you have damaged some wiring under there
during install, that's messed up the state of tune (O2 sensors are
often victims, and people who've turned off sensor codes will not
get warned).
