yeah if they didnt come with z rated tires you'd probably have a ridiculously low speed limiter stock. most manuf do this so you dont do 150 on crappy tires, blowout and sue them

 

How can you tell from the VIN? I thought that you had to look at the door sticker. The reason I am asking is that I just bought a 2001 z28 conv but have not picked it up yet. It is being shipped from Texas as I write. The VIN is 2G1FP32GX12116168 if that helps.
