Default Please please please a flexplate speacialist needed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi everybody i just recently had to replace my flexplate due to my cheap allen bolts coming off the converter, so i got my new flexplate everything lines up perfectly theres a small gap between the fp and the starter, i have the tranny off just the flexplate on, i start it up and it starts scraping nasty everything is stock on my camaro i really confused right now any help would be awsome please thank you!

hey man i put a flexplate from ebay i know it might sound shady but everything is lined up perfect and it is sfi certified brand new! and its on right now ima try to put some pics up asap but thanks for the reply

I have seen this before with some aftermarket starters....are you sure yours is original?

Not sure how to describe it but its basically is the side that sits flush with the starter gear

The case of the starter? If its not hitting by much then yeah I would probably grind it. Pending I don't feel like I'm making it structurally unsafe.

True and yes it is the case of the starter I did grind it already but I'm guessing maybe it needs the torque converters weight to balance it out somehow?

What do you mean by the converters weight to balance it out? Not sure I follow that....

I'm not sure circle d what's wired is that I jack the car up and start it it scratches as I lower it it scratches less?

you didn't by chance get the flat flexplate that is meant to be used on the 4l80e with a crank spacer ?
