i like the B & M pro rachet, just pers pref, the stick stays in the same spot, rather than have to push it way up for park-esp in a bench seat car
i had one in my 69, and 70-yes, they work for a 4l80e

I too have found that the B&M Pro Ratchet shifter is a good choice. I have installed many of these shifters for guys over the years and have found them to be very durable and reliable. Not to mention I've never had a complaint from a client about one either!

B&M doesn't list it as workin on a 4l80e...I have the mega shifter now. But the detents don't lline up with the tranny detents, But you all say the ratchet one WILL work?

I had to make my own selector shaft bracket to make my quicksilver work.

on the B & M, you rem a pin that allows for 4th gear-part of the problems with alighnment is where the cable mounts to the shifter housing, the mtg tab on the cable can go either outside or inside the housing, i forget which way, but if not correct, the shifter will not match the ratio on the trans lever
i have told B & M they need to make it clear how it goes, other than the picture
