Default Check ball capsule replaced with cup plug, is this bad?

I currently have my 4l60e torn apart to replace a broken input drum.

While in there, I noticed that the check ball capsule near the servo bore has been removed and in it's place is a cup plug. Is this going to cause any unwanted side effects?

I believe that using beefed-up replacement hard parts and additional clutches is good. But, I also feel that mucking with the hydraulics usually leads to bad things, such as 2-3 shift flare.

All of the best shifting 4l60e's I've ever had have always been stock.

So, is there any reason I should NOT replace the cup plug with a new check ball capsule?

We went this route on my last build up and haven't had any issues yet. My little ole' 4L65E has performed flawlessly so far.......

Wow, 10's at over 130 MPH on a 4L65E is impressive indeed! Curious though, how much does your car weigh?
