I need to ship my 4l60e and i was wondering if anyone knows an easy way to ship it across country. Let me know if you have any ideas

I could've sworn a sponsor on here said they ship theirs in rubbermaid tubs, the same kind you can get at wal-mart, can't remember who it was. As for who to ship with, I dropped mine off at Fedex ..make sure all of the fluid is out of the trans. I thought mine was empty and they called me telling me to pick it up, I had to clean it and take it back.

Truck freight ? Fed ex will but your gonna pay since it's big and heavy.

My tranny builder has/had a contract through a freight carrier and they picked mine up from my builder's shop. Shipping price was included in total price.

We ship truck freight and when they are only going 1 way we strap them to a pallet. Make sure the trans does not hang over the pallet or it WILL get damaged. We use 2 ratcheting straps to hold it down, put cardboard boxes over the bell and tail. Then shrink wrap it.
