4l80E transgo shift kit, why?
4l80E transgo shift kit, why? 6.0l/4l80E combo in my chevelle, it made 391hp/384fpt,tranny has 54k on it from a van.... tuner turn up the shift firmness a little bit, Why would or should I consider a shift kit? I don't really want this tranny to bang shift into each gear but shift firm on wide open runs! Advice on should I consider a kit and which one! Thanks alot..

The transgo kit allows you to increase the apply diameter of the direct clutch by using their 3 piece separator plate. This process can be completed (and improved over the transgo kit) without the kit, but the kit makes it much simpler for the do it your self/never done it before mechanic. It also allows you to tailor your shift firmness.
