I was wondering if anyone has had any results with the heat sink transmission coolers??? I have read a lot of "speculation" but no real world results. They make some that are dual pass, 30 & 36 inches long. That should help cool a lot more compared to the (original) single pass type that are 1/2 that length. Any results or info??? I was considering two of the 30"??

I gave up on the heat sink style and went with a 2" thick plate type that had as many rows as I could fit (between the frame and body). I read that the plate type was the best which makes sense since it has the most surface area for fluid cooling. Mine had 19 plates and I got it from ebay. It is mounted on its side (for lack of a better explanation). I thought it may be a little more efficient that way since the heat gets out a little sooner.

what is a plate type? is that like a traditional radiator style?

The traditional type is considered tube and fin.

i run a tci 26000gvw in front of my radiator and an extra deep derale pan with the cooling tubes and rarely see temps above 150. This is with a rmvb th400 with a 3600 ptc converter
