4l60e rebuild woes
In the midst of upgrading my stock 4l60e I have ran into a few possible problems.
1. The low and reverse roller clutch makes a squealing sound when rotating. Other than that it looks fine and operates correctly.
2. After installing a new wide 2-4 band (and also a new reverse input drum) the output shaft is very hard to rotate in reverse by hand. It gets considerably harder after installing the corvette 2nd servo and the factory 4th servo. Finally, its damn near impossible to turn with the corvette 2nd servo and the superior 4th billet servo. Also it appear that the snap ring never fully seats when using the aftermarket billet servo. Also the I've been installing the transgo HD2 kit.
Has anybody had similiar problems?
Thanks in advance,

Well there will be some drag but you may need to use a different pin length . As for the sweeling on the roller clutch that is normal.
On the servo are you shure you are installing all correctly maybe post a picture of how you have it all laid out.

If you can install one spacer, and still be able to push the cover in about an 1/8" - 1/4" then run it. If not, then do not use a spacer. That itself couldbe the reason your band is dragging.
