Need help!!
I'm new to forum. I have a 02 Camaro SS and i want to beef up my tranny. I am killing myself on what route to go, getting my 4l60e rebuilt to handle high hp and a stall or putting in a TH350 with a stall. Any advice would help
I have a 4L60E built to handle about 600hp and LOVE IT! the 350 was a great tranny in its day but a built 4L60E can give you great performance and because of its OD not kill your gas mileage. in the long run a built 4L60E will cost less too.
This 4L60E

is built one level up from mine (850 hp), Johnny Owner of Xtreme Trans does excellent work. Not a bad price.

I also have a 4L60E built locally for at least 600 hp. Using a 3500 stall, The Beast sun shell, hardened planetaries, HD shift bands, sleeved housing, Transgo shiftkit, and an HD trans cooler, to name a few parts. I have beat on this trans everyday for over 2 years on DR's and it still wants more. I am very happy with this setup, but you must have it tuned before any fun.

i have been beating on my FLT Lvl 4 4L60E and FTI 3600 converter for 2 years now without a single issue. have made many 12 hour one way trips in the car as well. unless the car is strictly a track car, an OD tranny is a wiser decision.
