I have a Circle D 2B stall. It is about 2800. I have 1.6 60's times. However, I have a 10.9:1 compression 6 liter. See the times in my signature.

I have a 2500 stall tc made by protorque w/2.78 gears and it's noticeable, never having driven a stalled car. And yeah it will be better than stock of course. You'll be happy with it. I heard tci is one to stay away from though and stock converters that have been restalled. I kinda wished I would have gone a lil higher to help my 1-2 shift, but I think with the new cam it probably won't matter as much. I'll find out as soon as my trans is built and put back in and it tuned. If you don't have an ls6 intake you should do that as your next upgrade after the converter of course.
