Are a lot of people running stalls in stock transmissions?

yep ran a Yank 4200 in a factory stock tranny for over 2 years!

cool just wasn't sure. also where do people usually install the fitting for a tranny temp gauge? Thanks for all the responses!!

Got the stall in yesterday. Definitely feels different but going tuesday for a tune.

i've ran mine for 25000 miles so far still good.

For a trans temp gauge most guys tap into the trans pan but i taped into the line coming from the trans to the cooler. Thats just how i did it.

What stall did you go with?

vigilante 3600 it kinda feels like it shifts early and slow but i guess that will be adjusted in the tuning?

yep with a stall that size thats whats expected. The shift points at the lower speeds will be extended and the line pressure increased during the tune. All of your issues will be corrected once its tuned. Be careful when at wot that the car doesnt redline after the tune. if this occurs the shift points at wot need to be lowered. I've seen some tuners forget to adjust this, just a heads up man. You must take the car to the track and watch ur times decrease

ya its gonna get dynod tuesday so im just takin it easy for now and thanks for the advice. All this is new to me since this is only my second car and Im 17 lol
