factory TC how much does a factory TC cost?
the guy thats rebuilding my transmission is replacing mine with a factory one...
was wondering what the difference between that and an aftermarket converter was...

yea, well, car goes in the shop tomorrow morning, so i'm kind of on a rushed schedule. i know he carries aftermarket converters... i guess i will ask price difference tomorrow. i'd just like to walk in knowing a little more about costs.

I am not sure! I went to auto zone and you can get a replacement converter there for $120.00 plus core charge. I guess you would have to call a dealer for a new gm torque converter.

he's doing some upgrading, but i can only afford to let him have it for two days because i'm on spring break about 150 miles from school... i am going to see if he has an aftermarket converter in stock to fit it, but i was trying to figure out how much more its going to cost over a factory converter.
(and how i could hide the cost of it cuz dad doesnt want me to touch anything and already doesnt know about the suspension/intake stuff)
