Default id my converter?

I have no idea what converter i have but i believe it needs cut n cleaned and possibly inspected if its still good or not. The number on the converter that i found is 10208 23762R FLHB. Is there anyway to decode this? Any and all help is appreciated. Oh i was told by the seller it was a Yank SS3800? Thanks

From what i can tell it looks like it was red but then painted over black. Also found that number on the side too as you'll see in the picture.

Not sure who made it but FLHB tells us that it is a 245MM unit, with a 0 pump, so depending on the stator that is used it would be about a 3200 or 3600 in a F Body LS car. It would be a tight converter...

That is a billet front converter, looks like an early design. The 102 number could represent the stator it has in it, making it a 3800-4000 flash. Really won't know till you cut it....

Not our number format but looks like our older cover design.
We have sold parts to other converter builders in the past.
I would say by the number stamps it is a # 8 pump and 102 stator 4400 to 4600 in an LS1 at about 400 RWHP.
But this is a guess as it is not our build.

Ok next question is who can cut n clean and tell me if its any good? If it needs rebuilt or something... i'm guessing i would be screwed, since it hard to say who made and is possibly too old?

I forgot to say i did put it and was told it was ready to go. Unfortunately i was dumb and trusted the seller. I'm assuming there were metal shavings or something inside but either way i think it took out my tranny. I never pulled the tranny apart to verify what happened but the trans started slipping in about ten miles and finally gave up and wouldnt move. The short time i got to drive it however it was awesome. It was only a few hundred rpm's higher than stock under normal driving. When i stomped the gas, if i remember correctly, it instantly jumped rpms to about 3500-3700 on a basically stock car.

I'm sure any of the sponsors would be able to cut and clean, or rebuild the converter. But you'd really need to call then to find out what kinda money you're talking about spending.
