Default turbine shaft rings

So I used the tool to install the turibne shaft an stator shaft rings and used the resizer and the rings are still pretty loose how ever the do fit easy in the shaft how tight do this have to be and how do you know if they are installed right?

I wish a more experienced person would reply, but let me take a shot at it.
Lube the rings with TransJel and see if it fits well into the pump stator shaft. If it does, you are good to go. However, if it seems to hang up on any of the rings, you need to place the resizing tool back on the rings.
The ATSG manual recommends keeping the resizing tool on until you are ready to install the oil pump.
The "SA Design" manual recommends keeping the resizing tool on overnight.

Leave the resizer on till you are ready to drop the pump. I always use a die-grinder to make a larger bevel on the large bushing in the drum to help insure that the rings slide by without cutting or binding. Hope this helps.
