4L60E shift kit and no first gear
4L60E shift kit and no first gear Been looking for this problem in the posts but haven't found an answer.
I installed the TransGo HD2 kit and first gear works great in manual shift mode but when I put the selector in OD and go for automatic mode it starts out in second no matter the throttle position or speed shifts normally after 2nd too.
Is the Band too tight? Using a corvette servo.

well, if anyone ever has this same problem that 1st works in manual but not in auto you have installed the 1-2 shift valve incorrectly. 
PUT THE CHECK BALL IN FIRST THEN PUT IN THE SPRING.
yup im and idiot who likes ATF showers and can't get it right the first time...but it works now.
