LS1 to 727 Torqueflite??? Help Please

LS1 to 727 Torqueflite??? Help Please Ok, here goes, im new here and this is my first post so please don't flame me too bad.
I have a 1977 IH Scout II with the 727 Torqueflite v8 trans. I was going to put a pre-85 GM 350/383 in it as Advance Adapters makes an adapter kit to do this because the early 350's are internally balanced. The adapter kit comes with a flywheel that uses the 727's converter since there are no weights on the flexplate.
My question is this. If the LS1 shares the same bolt pattern and is also Internally balanced do you think this adapter would work? I don't know much about Chevy, and know very little about LS1's. I want to keep the 727 because its been built to be damn near bulletproof to live behind the 392 thats in it now. I appreciate any help you guys can lend me.

Well the biggest reason for the 65 hits and no comments is probably the idea that you are asking about an odd configuration that not many folks had tried. I have done many conversions myself over the years, but not one of these.
I would suggest calling Advanced Adaptors in the morning to see what they say... after all they are the mfgr who did the research on the original deal.
