Default help with 4l80e swap needed..

Looking for some experience on swapping a 4l80e. I already have a 4l60e in the car and looking to upgrade before the tranny blows up.couple of questions that I need help with.
What can I use for a floor shifter? I would like to be able to shift manually or auto. factory or aftermarket. if you have a shifter recommendation please post up picts.

what connector pins do I have to move?

how much do I have to shorten my driveshaft?

is dipstick out of a 4l60 the same?

what else do I need ?
Thanks in advance for the help for I know you guys have done this before.

Sorry factory F body shifter. No modifications. Driveshaft should be the same length.

I have factory shifter in mine and i had to adjust the cable some. But it works. It isnt perfect. I am changing it over to a B&m pro shifter this weekend just waiting on the speed gate for it. The stock driveshaft will work just need to change the yoke and ujoint. Here is a pic of how im trying to do my shifter.

Any B&M or Hurst shifter for a gm 4 speed auto will work. I used a B&M hammer when I did my auto swap and kept the 6 speed console. From what I have read here you are better off using a lokar dipstick and mounting it to the firewall. When I go to a 4l80 I am going to try and keep the factory dipstick. Shoot me an email address in a pm and I will send some pics of my shifter install. As for the wiring there is a post about what wires to swap.

there's a thread somewhere here that has pretty much all the info for the swap you need. we used the stock shifter/linkage. i'm pretty sure we just mounted the linkage to one of the trans pan bolts because it wont bolt up just like it does to the 4l60. but it works fine the way we have it. we also used a lokar dipstick and have it mounted right under the cowl.
