Will it fit
Everyone hello
Which 6 speed automatic transmission will bolt up and work behind a 2004 5.7L, LS1 that came out of a vette? What flex plate and torque converter?
Main use for this swap car will be pro touring. Saturday nite out tromp.
Does anyone know which 6 speed autos are the best or what kits are being used or not?
Will a 2006 Cadillac STS-Y. STSV 6 speed auto 6L80E will fit up to the LS1
Thanks everyone

I have not seen anything that says it won't. Your problem is how are you going to control it? It has its own controller built in and the E38 ecm is the one that communicates to it. I am not sure if you would have to enlarge the transmission tunnel. There could now be some stand alone controllers on the market. You would have to reasearch it.

TCM is gonna be your biggest problem with a true 6L80E (the network on the new vehicle works different than any of these cars... best bet if you want a 6 speed is that 6X thing from TCI because it is pretty much a 4L80e that they turn the overdrive planet on a couple extra times.
