IMO, if those are the only models they sell, with 3 of them being a 2000, 2400, and 2500 rpm stall, they don't know what a performance converter is all about.

Neil Chance is indeed a HUGE powerhouse in the racing world.

However, I don't know what they're doing selling a 2000 stall converter. That's only about 100-200 over stock. You'de never know it was there. Very few people (knowledgable people at least) are going to waste their time with anything under 3000.

2000? You gotta do something with all those 12" cores laying around, bend some fins and sell it to a fewl.

yeah, that is tricky. Neal Chance makes the best converters....Period. They make the real hardcore race ****, not the 10-13 second cars that most of us drive....they make converters for 6-9 second cars! They are also well over a grand for a custom made "good" one.

I am in the process of talking to Marty over at neal chance, getting my new convertor spec'ed out for my TH400. The are very nice guys over there, and they know what they are talking about. When I was talking to marty on the phone he said they only offered 3 kinds of convertor, weld together 999.00, bolt together 1699.00, and lightweight bolt together 2699.00. They are not cheap but as others have said they have proven themselves in the racing world time and time again.

They're the only one I've ever heard of that builds a TITANIUM converter! ...But it only comes in a 10" (or was it 10.5"? Anyway....).

Marty Chance is the man when it comes to specifying a converter. He nailed mine right on the head. They are pricier then most, however you can restall it very easily either by replacing the stator or shimming it up to tighten it up a bit. It's worth every dollar I paid for it.

Here's what a 2 piece looks like for those that have never seen one.
