It's 1 of the best improvements I've made in the restoration project of my Car. Doug Bree owner of Doug's Place (817-468-8818)installed the Transmission in no time but needed a few setup pointers on the it, so I gave you Guys a call & as usual I can always talk to someone , Lou talked the Tech @ Doug's Place (Arlington,Texas) & it was ready in less than 10 minutes ... that's Quality &Service. You I could have bought the Transmission locally but saw a Mad Dog ad in Car Craft & just called them, they offer the best Prices & Service people so please give these Guys a call. I love my gas mileage, plus a the get up & go my car has now.. yes it was a great improvement over my 350 Trans. Thank you Guys so much !!!!!!
Well done, at least for the moment, for this particular customer.
Let's give it a little while, after it goes up in smoke.

Got this from one of my customers:

I purchased a Level3 4L65e transmission and am very happy with it. I make 20 to 25 passes on the 1/8 mile every weekend. The tranny performs great on the street and strip. The service has been good as well, every time I have contacted them with a question Elliot has been prompt in his reply and helpful in solving the issue. Thanks to Mad Dog Transmissions for a great experience.- Mr. wright/TSS

I have a trans built by these guys I brought for a project I been building finally got car dynoed last week no issues at all. Before I purchased mine I spoke with Lou several times and ron from vengence suggested i give him a shot and i drive from new orleans 9 hrs just to get tuned so you know i believe in them over there.
after speaking with lou i made it clear im buying this unit to beat the **** out of it. so letting him know in advance im going to be over a year with all other projects i got going and he said he stands behind his product and gave me a very nice warranty to fit in my time frame of my build. I also read all the bad ****,but I also did my own homework and the guys he was working with is no longer part of his team.
Owning my own company I understand your workers can damage your name and it's hard to get back rite after that. So before you jump the gun talk to him for ya self.
P.s. I'm not going to say a name but one of the sponsors on here still can't get 4l60 in f body's to make the 2/3 shift seen with my own eyes several diff. Guys in my area. That

Default Mad Dog's Trans-Brake 4L80E

This is our 4L80E masterpiece. It can handle a maximum of 1200HP. Full manual valve body forward pattern, with Trans-brake. The trans brake can also be set up to work with your cars computer, so in other words it can shift automatically and when you take it to the track; put it in 3rd gear and activate the trans-brake. Lots of different ways to set it up. Stay away from the TCI Trans-brake, they haven't figured it out yet. Just my 2 cents, If you have any questions, please call me.

Default reverse pattern 4L80E

We are not using the TCI 274500 or 274501 reverse pattern trans break valve bodies. They have some issues they need to straighten out. So for now we are staying away from them. We've had no issues with Carl Rossler trans breaks and full manuals. The only reason we started using TCI on the 4L80Es is because they offered reverse pattern.

I met you last year in Darlington buddy. Are you still gonna keep rowing gears or go auto?

Still, with manual who knows, maybe next year. I can't wait to get my car back 9.70s or 9.80s, I'll be happy with that for a while until you pull up next to me lol!!!

I don't have an LS1, instead I have a 67 Camaro with a 350.

I've been through two used transmissions and I'm tired of messing with old stuff. I want reliable and fuel economy, so I'm considering a 700R4. Mad Dog and some other companies are a few of my interests right now.

I've read how people join and post once propping Mad Dog and I don't want to be accused of that, so I'm posting here to say that I'm thinking about buying one of his transmissions. If I do, I will let you know my experience.

Well I sent an email to him 6 days ago leaving my phone number asking him to call me and have heard nothing from him.

If its this hard for mad dog to contact someone for a sale I can only imagine how hard it is to get support for issues.

Do you have a trans gear for speedometer in my 2004R. I have 3.08 gears and 255/60/15 tires. I currently have a green gear and the speedo shows 70 but GPS says 65. Think I need the black gear?

Thanks Lou. Yes I did speak with Elliot. Oddly enough, I had purchased a transmission elsewhere just before Elliot called. It was pleasant speaking with him.
