I think he is talking about the MAP values on the diagnostic page in edit but I am not sure. I waiting for this info also!

under p0121 paramters

max map is 55
min map is 65

is this right? Change them to 10 more on each one or is it in another table?

He must be, but it's not in the fueling section, lol.

Ok, I see that table, so do you add to it or take away from it by 10? And what does this table do? Reverting back to my old tune must have made a difference in the downshift then cause it's better. Changing the other table must not have done much of anything..

Yeah, sorry like I said I am on vacation now before i deploy so I dont have edit with me. Will have it in Afghanistan though! Yes, add 10 (ten) to both (each) of the MAP parameters. All I know is it stopped my trans from acting like that, and hasnt had any other effect.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. I adjusted the 45-55 KPA section by 10%, ran for about 5 minutes or so. Wierd coincidence it was shifting better . It's all back to the stock setting now and I reflashed it with the change to the Po121 area, I'll check it out tomorrow and see if it helped..

Thanks again,
Dan

This is an interesting thread.

I'm in the process of converting my car to speed density, but one of the things I did before I stated was switch from a 9381344 (2000) Operating System to a 12212156 (2002) Operating system.

I copied all my timing tables, shift tables and TCC tables and the car drives the same however I am experiencing a similar problem someone posted about.. If I am cruising locked up in 3'rd and go WOT, it takes a few seconds to unlock the TCC before actually allowing the car to rev up very high. This type of behavior is definately not ideal on the TC Clutches for high power applications..

I too am vacuum modulated. I'll definately be doing more testing with this to find the problem. So far it has me stumped.

A few driveability things that I really like with a high stall that some of you may also like is setting the 3-4 shift to 60mph.. and setting the 2-1 downshift up to 25% throttle to 2mph.. This prevents the jerky 2-1-2 shifts when you hit a stop sign (good for loose verters).

NOT 10%, add 10. take the number in the MAP block and add 10 should be 65/75 or 75/85. Either way add 10, not percentage.

Yes, I got that. I was stating I did 110% on the FAM instead. Up 10 on the P0121 is 65/75, stock is 55/65.

Magnus, I'll try that out on the shifts. Keep us posted on your findings.

Thanks both for the info..

I guess HP Tuner or Edit will fix my shift tables.

I hope you get yours sorted out it sucks slamming the rev limiter.
mine does the same thing as yours...and my buddies too, but mti fixed his with a tune, but not mine

You got to raise the part throttle shift points. Really matters with a big stall.
