Default How can you tell a 4l60 from a 700r

I have a '91 Chevy truck 1/2 ton. How can I tell if it's a 4L60 or 700r?
I've pull the pan and found one solenoid, I think it's the tq con lock-up.
Also a temp sw and a TCC signal sw.
I think the tq con solenoid is bad again. Last year it wasn't shifting right and I took it to the shop and they replaced the solenoid. It's doing the same thing, I took the solenoid out and put 12 volts to it and nothing.
I'm just wondering if it's a 4L60 or a 700r.
Thanks

The 4l60 has a 5 pin connector, the 700r4 a 4 pin.
