This might be a very stupid questio. So plz excuse it. I've heard that the converters can be lock and unlocked . How does that work? What area the Benifits of having the converter unlocked open . Or closed? .. I have ahold knowledge of motors , but when it comes to trannys and torque converters I am a big newbie, plz excuse that . Thanks for reading all positive comments welcome

Probably because everyone is thinking ""

Street converters are normally lockup converters. Depending on the tune the converter would lock around 40mph dropping the rpms to normal driving range for your given gear, therefore not affecting highway gas mileage at all.
