Default Temp sender in fluid test port (4L80)

Any issues with doing this with the temp sensor gage sender? Seemed a logical place to put it, in the fluid test port.

It works ok, but it reads case temperature, not fluid temperature. Reads high under normal use, reads low when racing.

Put it in the pan, it's a better average temp reading IMO.

Sorry about renewing an old thread.... but just curious if there is a max length of sender before it will cause issues... the sender I got seems long and not sure if it will hit something on inside or block something.... I got a glowshift temp sender....

thoughts???

AutoMeter 2253 is the long version. Use AutoMeter 2254 for the short version. I had the same problem and now use 2254.
