4l80e swap shifting problems. HELP!!!
I have a 01 camaro. Swapped a 80e in replace of the 60e. I have the speartech wiring harness adapter. The 80e has a shift kit and different clutches, yank stall etc. (built by transmission builder).
I took the car to my tuner to have him put the 80e tune on it. Well after he put the tune on it the car would not start out in first. It would throw code 785 and 740. So he deleted the codes so they would not come back on to see if it changed anything, after that it would start out in 1st skip 2nd and shift from 3rd to od with converter locking up. My tuner said that the 2-3 shift solenoid is bad. But my trans guy is telling me that the solenoids are new and that he thinks its electrical. SO where do I go from here guys?
Thanks

Are you using the relay method or did you have a segment swap done to control the trans? Not familiar with what the speartech harness does. On mine I added the vss plug and wire and used slow67's method to control the trans without needing a segment swap. I then just went to my tuner had him turn off 2 or 3 codes and he tuned it without any issues.

Yeah he did a segment swap. It just has a the connector to connect the 60e to the 80e and a speed sensor plug that you run to the ecm. So what should I do? I'm confused at this point. And my builder said all the solenoids are brand new.

I am not sure on the seperator plate. That's what I was thinking so I ordered a new solenoid. But when my tuner cleared the codes, it would skip 2nd on accel and deccel. I don't know if that helps any??

Ok I changed out the solenoids. Changed nothing. I checked power to the solenoids and they have power but the 1-2 shift solenoid is not clicking unless i manually ground it. So I checked the ground from the solenoid to the ecm and its good. So is it my tune that is the problem?? Thanks

The 60e had no issues so I don't think it is the ecm. All this started when I put the 80e in. And the iss, I found the pins on the ecm and pushed them into the connector. And you can't pull the wires out so they are in there.

Say it was a ground on the ecm wouldn't that affect other thing and just not the trans?
And just thought I would throw this out there, I'm not running a mass air sensor. So when I check the codes that code is always there. That would have no affect on the tranny right?
