Default 4l80e forward in reverse and neutral

hello, finaly got my el camino swap finished up with one problem after another..and now im having this issue. i just put some fluid in it and i knowticed it is moving forward in reverse and neutral...i also have a code p0758 that showed up.

now i got this trans from a guy who had it re-built by gm some time ago, but all i did was changed fluid and filter...but fluid smelled like it had been sitting for some time.

just need some help, i need the car done in a few days to go through inspection and head down to gm carlisle...im just tired of running into problems

Could be the manual valve not connected to the linkage.

Although with my huge case of bad luck it doesn't hurt to check... I'll be pulling the trans sometime so I'll pull the pan and drain the fluid. If the valves off I'll fix it... I know the fluid smelled soo bad, which leads me to believe the clutch issue
